New Stickers!

I have just unpacked our new sticker range from Paper Projects.

They are of great quality and very sparkly!

We now have Tinkerbell, Flower Fairies, Disney Princesses, Butterflies & Bugs, Aliens & Robots, Gifts, Shoes & Handbags, Jungle Animals & lots of little eyes on our website!

These stickers are great for brightening up & sealing envelopes, decorating notes and letters, gift wrapping, party bag fillers, craft projects & for unpeeling from places they shouldn't have been stuck... courtesy of little fingers! Don't worry though, all of the stickers are peelable & reusable! They are also acid free.

Rob Ryan Cards

I have just framed my favourite Rob Ryan card - "Adventurous Birds" for our wall, it looks wonderful!

... it's also rather appropriate seeing as I am now 5 months pregnant with No3 on the way!

We have more beautiful Rob Ryan cards in our shop for you to give, keep yourself or frame!

Flower Fairies Stamps!

I have just ordered from The Royal Mail some Flower Fairies stamps (Almond Blossom & Wild Cherry) as a bit of fun to use on our customers orders!

Each stamp features a flower design and is attached to a label bearing a picture of Almond Blossom or Wild Cherry.

... I think its lovely to receive post with proper stamps on, which is something we don't see as often nowadays! It feels far more personal.

Cooliris!

A friend of mine (thanks Stuart!) recommended I use Cooliris.

Well, I've just found a spare five minutes to download it from: www.cooliris.com

It's so easy to use, basically it's a lightning fast way of viewing your Google images by just clicking on the downloaded icon!

It's so fast that, it made me feel slightly queezy using it the first few times! (maybe that's just because it's late & my eyes are tired, and can't keep up with the speed of the images they are seeing!)

I wish now that I'd know about it earlier, don't think I would be without using it for now for those extra quick Google searches!

Loving these!

No Type (Set in Soho Gothic) and Metal Type (which is great for me as I'm forever forgetting the correct terms for a piece of type!) are from Typenuts.com - who offer free type-themed & type-inspired iPhone & desktop wallpapers for typenuts!

You’re encouraged to submit your own work at Typenuts, why not give it a go?.... I did notice there was a lack of more feminine wallpapers!

Blog Updated!

I have finally found the time to update the "Purple Blog". Yesterday I transfered all of the older posts from the blog from our website Purple Greetings Cards to our new blog here.
It is something that I have been meaning to do for quite a while now, I just wasn't quite sure of the best way to do it.

Straight away I've created lists of "Blogs I love!" and "Sites & Shops I love!"... (these I have been hoarding in my overflowing bookmarks bar for far to long), so now you can share my favourites with me! The comments option is new to us as well... so please be kind to us!

... there's just a few more little alterations I need to do to the layout and I still have all the images and links to transfer over, but overall I'm really pleased with the integration.

"Purple Greetings" have taken our name!

We would like to point out that we are not associated and do not wish to be associated with a new website selling cards online calling themselves "Purple Greetings"

Our name is Purple Greetings Cards and "Purple Greetings" are trying to start trading by using our established name or part of it which they should not be doing.

We have asked them to cease trading as "Purple Greetings" and to choose themselves a name not significant with our business.

We are very disappointed to have found them trying to do this.

Flat Christmas Thank You Cards

I just love these dear little Christmas flat thank you cards by James Ellis Stevens.
Each one is delicately glittered and comes with it's own white envelope.

Perfect for children (or children at heart!)

... I have a couple of packs of my own ready for those special thank you's!

Business Cards

I have just created another batch of our business cards in two colourways... silver on beet and silver on plum... perfect!

After, designing a lotus flower using Adobe Illustrator CS4, then using my trusty Gocco (I so love it, it's such a joy to use!) our business cards have again been updated.
The design has been created so that the business cards can have different uses such as compliments cards and display cards and have enough room for a personal handwritten message.

I have great fun changing the designs every so often!

What do you think?
I also Goccoed a simple cropped lotus flower onto the tops of the spare cards for use as little tags, labels or display cards. I think I will use a corner punch to round the two bottom corners on the tags.

I am also going to create a lotus flower stamp with one of our ImagePac Daylight kits.

Imagepac Daylight

Wow!...

We said we have been really busy recently... well this is one of the fantastic products that we have been sourcing for you.

ImagePac Daylight is a revolutionary new product (ImagePac was invented and patented by PhotoCentric who manufacture it in the UK)
Imagepac Daylight enables you to create your own clear stamps at home from your own designs using light sensitive photopolymer!
We sort of fell over it while trying to source for ourselves a photopolymer plate making system for letterpressing. We have also been trying to source alternatives to the wonderful Gocco... I know it isn't a Gocco, but it does have a similar principle - it enables you to create clear stamps at home from your own designs.

You can also use the embossing kit to create a more rigid stamp for embossing.

We are pleased to say that we are now stockists of the ImagePac Daylight range of kits, supplies and accessories.

Yippee!!!

Kutuu

I have been so excited about Hannah Salomon's website Kutuu
... what a naturally talented person she is! I find myself constantly telling people about her work, it's just so beautiful!

I especially love her bracelets, (I have my eye on a certain purple one!)

and her Gocco'ed business and gift cards are great....
she says this is her first attempt at Gocco-ing, Hannah you're a natural!
